Old Government House
One of Queensland’s most significant heritage buildings, Old Government house underwent a $15 million restoration.
Major structural damage was repaired and original features were restored following heritage guidelines and current best practice.
Due to the building being heritage listed, it was vital that air conditioning and ventilation have minimal impact on the construction of the building and its appearance.
Air conditioning to the first floor utilised ducted
chilled water fan coil units. The ground floor areas were cooled using floor-mounted chilled water air conditioning units.
Humidity controls and building pressurisation ensure controlled conditions that maintain valuable artwork displayed within the building.
